Sharks day

Everyone at Walker Smith decided to show their support for the Sharks in the Currie Cup final tomorrow, by wearing black and white to work today.

It was Sue who took the cake with her Sharks kit, complete with T-Savs and knee high socks! Go Sharks!

Official opening of classroom block extension

On Thursday the 5th of August, we celebrated the official opening of the new classroom block extension to an existing building at Thomas More College. This extension will provide 4 new classrooms for the school, which is part of the 19 classrooms that we have built at Thomas More over the past 7 years.

This project went particularly well, and according to plan in every respect. This extension was programmed with a short construction period so as to minimise disruption on the campus with the building period spanning the second term and the World Cup holiday. Our fantastic winter weather played it's part with no rainy delays.

The opening was attended by most of the High School staff. This project forms part of a 20 year master plan for the school.
